Apart from being super interested in healing and enlightenment techniques, I am also a techno geek! :) As such I recently got a Kindle 3 which is very easy to use, has a great autonomy and has access to Amazon great catalog that include many spiritual books.
The first ebook I got was autobiography of a yogi and I have been reading it pieces after pieces since this summer either on my iphone in the metro or on the kindle in the various cafes, airports I went to. Written around 60 years ago, it describes the life of a famous yogi, Yogananda. Yoga means Union, so it is not limited to asanas and increasing your flexibility. In the case of Yogananda, his yoga technique is using lots of meditations techniques. He is a very dedicated yogi with a great interest in other subjects and western culture. He describes his gurus and lots of the amazing experience he had or they had. After spending so much time with the (e)book I feel as if a friend is telling me his personal story.
He is a great person, very down to earth, I liked his book very much and I highly recommend it as a book worth reading for those on the long path towards enlightenment. It is also a great ressourceto discover Babaji, another great yogi.
You can also discover the Kriya Yoga techniques he is talking about on their website.
The good thing is that they have a good base in south Florida, at Homestead and this is will soon be near where I will live so I am pretty sure I will get their initiations and spend some time at their ashram.

I had heard vaguely about this book before, and your post makes it sound like quite an interesting read. From the website I see we have an ashram in my town too, which is good.
Will see if I can get my hands on it, thanks for sharing
